The Work At Home term WAHM (Work At Home Moms) is a very broad term applied to mothers who work from home.
In New Zealand we say mum instead of mom.

A work from home business can incorporate many things regardless of whether you are a mom or not.

But often there are special considerations a mom must make as they fill many roles in a day - mother, business owner, partner, community member, school helper etc, etc.

The Benefits of a Work From Home Business

Work from home business is much more accepted today.

It is definitely a preference for many people, and not just parents.

It works particularly well when you need flexibility in your life.
Why you need flexibility is different for everyone.

  • ILL HEALTH: Perhaps, you suffer ill-health and find it hard to get out of the house, or need to be able to rest at times during the day.

  • SPORTS PEOPLE: Maybe you are an athlete that makes the most of daylight hours to get in that critical training, and then you work whenever you can in the comfort of your home. We certainly have a lot of rowers in our district who not only train hard, but work hard too.

  • PARENTS: Or maybe you are a parent who needs a challenge outside of the daily requirements of looking after children, yet still want to be available for sports days, school camps and those first critical 5 years of your child's life.
